Photography

I use the Nikon D300 with MB-D10, and my most used lens is the AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED (whoah, long name). Other lenses include the very nice AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED, AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED and Sigma 10-20mm F3.5 EX DC HSM. I manage and edit all my images using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.

Colors, etc

I use a calibrated monitor, and if you edit images, I strongly recommend that you do too. After some testing, I ended up with an Eizo FlexScan S2431W (Eizo’s ColorEdge models were too expensive for me), which I calibrate with a PANTONE huey.

Blog

This blog uses Wordpress with the Pyrmont theme.

There are a lot of plugins for Wordpress. I use several, both to get an idea of who reads this blog, making it easier to find it when searching, etc:

  • FeedBurner Feedsmith: Redirects all the feeds through FeedBurner, which gives me information about the number of subscribers, etc.
  • Google (XML) Sitemaps Generator for WordPress: Generates a XML-Sitemap compliant sitemap, supported by Ask.com, Google, YAHOO and MSN Search.
  • All in One SEO Pack: Automatically adds some meta fields to the page headers, and allow me to fill in more.
  • Yet Another Related Posts Plugin: Automatically displays related posts, based on keywords, tags, etc.
  • WPTouch: Provides an iPhone application-style theme, complete with AJAX loading articles and effects, when viewed from an iPhone or iPod touch.
  • Wordpress.com Stats: Detailed information about pageviews, which posts are more popular, where traffic is coming from, etc.
  • Google Analytics: Not really a plugin, but the JavaScript code is entered into the theme config. Provides a lot of traffic information, statistics, trends, etc.
